In 1971, near Gelendzhik, a local resident accidentally discovered a deep mine.
A group of researchers decided to study it because livestock and people began to disappear in this area.
After it was determined that there were no harmful gases, speleologist Igor Kamil descended to a depth of 40 meters.
Once at the depths, the man began to scream and pull the rope. Colleagues began to pull out their comrade, but they pulled out only one cable, the end of which was cut off as if with a knife, and the television camera lowered down showed 3 thick iron barrels with welded locks on the bottom.
The police opened a case of a missing person, but there was no daredevil to climb into the pipe, and the case was closed. The hole was again filled with trees, fenced off and forgotten about.
In the early 1990s. Rumors spread among local residents about a certain “devilish place” in which goats and people began to disappear. We remembered this mine. We found her. Attempts to find out whether people and animals fell into it led nowhere. And again there were determined guys, this time from Moscow. They say that three speleologists descended into the mine in turn. However, no one was able to go down deeper than 25 m - everyone was gripped by an insurmountable fear, and they had to be urgently pulled out of the hole. (According to rumors, six months later two speleologists died of an incurable disease). There was another group of researchers of 5 people, but they also failed to overcome the -25 m mark.
Later, several expeditions were undertaken using illuminated television cameras, radiometers, noise meters, chronometers and other equipment. Speleologists also descended to the “sworn” mark and, overcome with fear, rose to the top. But we managed to lower a television camera 200 m on a rope, which showed only smooth walls. A study of the mine mouth did not provide an answer: is it a natural hole or an artificial one. “Neither this nor that,” the experts concluded. Ufologists immediately suggested that the pipe was created using an unknown (or lost) technology and most likely by aliens or underground inhabitants.
The results of even “superficial” but still thorough research were indeed unexpected. It was unclear what technology was used to create the mine. There are no traces of formwork left on the walls. It was assumed that this was a well drilled by the military with a maximum possible diameter of 1.5 m, but according to strict rules, the spent object must be plugged and mothballed. The surface layer of the walls, 1-1.5 mm thick, turned out to be unusually strong - it withstood enormous external loads during natural soil movements, did not crack or crumble. It is possible that during drilling, the walls were secured against crumbling with a quick-setting mixture, which included liquid glass, but a study of the microstructure and chemical composition of crust samples showed that this was melted soil, obtained as a result of simultaneous thermal and mechanical action, without foreign impurities - from those the same chemical elements as the soil around the pipe.
At a depth of 40 m, background radiation was noted to be 5 times higher than natural, and the noise meter recorded infrasound with a frequency of 7-10 Hz - deadly to humans. The acceleration of time in the well looked strange: in 2.5 hours by 2.5 seconds. The old-timers immediately told a story about how the local guys lowered their friend into the mine, and he came out of it as an old man, gray as a harrier. Having not found answers to all the questions, the mine was left alone for a while. To prevent anyone from falling into it, they disguised it.
In 2007 A group from the Kosmopoisk association, led by V. Chernobrov, which dealt with anomalous phenomena, joined the search. After a long search for the location of the mine, it was discovered by two dead-end branches, and at around -36 m there was fresh water. At the bottom of the well, under a 4-meter layer of water, the scuba diver found a side tunnel, which he did not climb into, and three empty iron barrels. There were no human or animal remains. And although the researchers cautiously dived into the pipe, they did not experience any inexplicable fear. A version was immediately born that in the shaft, reminiscent of an organ pipe, low-frequency sound vibrations could be created by water entering the cavity. It is known that infrasound with a frequency of 6-8 Hz causes a feeling of unaccountable fear in people. It was a dry season then, and it was impossible to confirm this hypothesis. Researchers concluded that the mine was drilled more than 100 years ago. The reason for the melting of the soil was the ignition of gas accumulated at the bottom, which occurred during drilling. They also explained the cut of the cable - on the sharp edge of the melted rock. One thing was not explained - where did the remains of goats and people go? As time passes, it seems that Cosmopoisk discovered the wrong mine, which so frightened the not-so-timid speleologists. Hidden in a secluded place, it is waiting for new researchers to solve its mysteries. Meanwhile, ufologists are asking their own questions: they say, “this is a vertical trunk created by a highly developed civilization, connecting to a horizontal tunnel running from this area in the Volga region, to the Medveditskaya ridge.” “Like one of the metro lines,” they clarify.
